Autumn's Tear General Rules

Mensaje  Autumn's Tear el Dom Ene 08, 2012 3:04 am

1. Be respectful. Behind every post, every piece of art and every comment, there is a thinking and feeling person. Keep that in mind.

2. Be active. Post an introduction for the community to know who you are in the Introductions and Farewells. Try to post frequently if you are needed to do so in a section of the forum and announce if you're taking a leave for any reason. We understand that you have a life behind the screen.

3. Be original. If you post anything in the Sunset Gallery or contribute with anything on the World of Role Play, let it be your own brilliant thinking that comes up with it and not your mischievous hand that takes away the credit of another. We do not appreciate plagiarism of any sort, neither from outside material nor from the copying of the material in Autumn's Tear.

4. You'll accept full responsibility for your actions. You know, the usual. You are responsible for what you post in Autumn's Tear. Whatever it is that you submit will be traced back to you in case it attempts against someone's or something's well-being.

5. Respect and listen to the Moderators and the Administrator. They work hard in order to make the forum more enjoyable and delightful for everyone. They are entitled and allowed to take any measure they consider fit otherwise.

6. plz d0 NoT wR1t3 like dis. We would like to understand what you are saying so we ask you to please write properly and thoroughly. Proper grammar and spelling say more about oneself than you would think.

7. No spam of any kind is accepted. Keep it so everyone can enjoy the community's collective efforts. No publicity of other forums will be allowed. We do not appreciate our hard-worked efforts to be an advertisement place for those who rather not do any effort. There may be some exceptions upon request. Please contact a Moderator or the Administrator beforehand.

8. No viral or pornographic content allowed. We understand that some artists enjoy nude content but please let it only be artistic. If it is indeed explicit, warn in the topic name on the art section and, if it contains images, place them in a "spoiler" tag. Let us not even speak about viral content. That represents an immediate ban.

9. Please host your media content in outside sources like http://imageshack.us or http://photobucket.com. The forum counts with little space that we will try to use wisely.

10. Do not spam the "report" function or it shall be revoked from you. It is a privilege and not a right. To report a user, report the specific post or use the "report" function. You may also send a private message to any of the Moderators or to the Administrator.

11. Please watch your manners in the general chat. This interface is given to you for a more pleasant experience in the forum.

12. Refrain to use destructive criticism when commenting on any piece of art in the Sunset Gallery. Everyone here worked hard on their own pieces and deserve praise and respect for such.

13. The Discussion Board is a place to give one's opinion and argue logically about a subject. Refrain from battering on someone else because of their belief or personal view upon a subject. The penalties imposed on those that break this rule will be firm.

14. The World of Role Play is, as its name clearly explains it, for Role Play content only. Refrain from excessive OOCing (speaking Out of Chat) in this section. For that matter use the general Off-Topic or the World of Role Play Off-topic if it has to do with the RP. For other non-Role-Play related matters make use of the Interactive Content section.

15. If you want to make part of the stories in the World of Role Play, please refer to the respective guidelines in the section before posting.

16. The relevance of a matter posted by a member of the staff ranks based on the kind of topic chosen:
Global announcement: Any major situation of which all users should be aware.
Read:
Unread:
Announcement: Any important situation concerning a part of the forum or a specific topic.
Read:
Unread:
Post-it: Any information topic such as this one.

17. When the need arises to speak of a piece of the forum in particular, the hierarchical structure of the forum goes this way: Category> Forum> Topic, being Interactive Content a Category, Read here first! a Forum and Autumn's Tear General Rules a Topic. Note that the word "forum" is both used for the overall website and for a part of it. Do make the difference when necessary.

18. For almost everything in this forum (except for things such as Visual Content or Sounds) there are English and Spanish categories. Use them appropriately.

19.A member of the Staff will NEVER ask you for your password or personal information. Save them well and remember that the members of the Staff are marked by the rank that appears in every message: "Administrator" and "Moderator". The other rankings like "Supporter" or "Spammer" do not constitute the individual as a part of the Staff.

The staff of Autumn's Tear reserves the right to make any changes to these rules whenever it is considered fit. It is up to the user to keep updated with the changes.

The staff of Autumn's Tear reserves the right to overrule and penalize any action, even its prohibition is not outlined in the rules, if considered necessary.

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,
The Autumn's Tear Staff.
